My 80's Childhood, Cartoons

A few weeks ago I shared some of my childhood with you, it turns out that a lot of my public childhood memories are about TV, (hmmmm....) here are a few more shows that you'll remember

I know Yogi bear is from well before the 80's, but that's when I watched it and like Scooby Doo. it has never really stopped being made, so encompasses nearly every decade since the 60's, anyway, for whatever reason, this show was (at the time) considered probably the best Hanna-Barberra had to offer

I mentioned last weekend my love of the Care Bears when I was little, Not surprisingly, we were usually excited when they had a "Star Trek" episode

and lastly the "Super Mario Bro's" my brother and I couldn't get enough of them, we played the game, watched the show and even ate the cereal

unknown source
of course, as the brother  who obsessed with me is older than I am, I was always Luigi, and I think it was a direct catalyst for why, at least for a while as kids, my favorite color became green and his was red

did you share TV shows like this with your sib's? Please tell me about it in the comments

  1. Oh, wow. I remember that Nintendo cereal! I wanted some, but my parents wouldn't buy it for us. Said it was too sugary. Was it any good?

  2. I don't want to make you feel bad, but if I had a box of that right now, I'd be looking for a bowl and milk, remember when berry berry kix was good? it was like that, but also nerd-tastic

  3. I didnt get to watch normal cartoons when I was young, my Mom used to make me watch animated scripture stories instead. I hated those things. Now I'm an adult I get to watch whatever I want. My parents can suck it.

  4. Richard, it's wonderful your mother loved you so much to protect you from the harmful influences of the media. Kids need to be protected from the evils of the world. That's why I home school my kids.
